Leaving.

I'm takin a break from nanowrimo and thought I'd write here instead. So I don't totally give up on my goal I'm writing to let you all know I'm leaving. Leaving Oregon. Leaving my house. Leaving...to go to Seattle. For three days.

I know not dramatic, but whatever. I'll take some photos, have some laughs, and tell ya'll about it soon. We've got a shoot on Wednesday so the rest of time I'll just be driving and chillin'.

Follow me on twitter, or in the side bar on the blog to see what I'm up to when I'm not blogging.
Peace. Out.

a follow-up

So friends, I'm not going to the mid-west...next week. Things in the estimate freaked out the client, like the price for last minute airfare to anywhere. And, they said the people they wanted us to interview wouldn't be available next week. Ya. So that's problem #2. Buutttt...all this means is they are either going to have us find cheaper tickets and fly out in a couple of weeks, or they're going to send their Leer to pick us up.

Ya. I'm voting for option 2.

It started around 3 o'clock

What do you do when a client calls and wants you to fly to somewhere in the mid-west?

Well I know what I did....
-began a detailed budget, which meant...
-pricing plane tickets
-checking hotel room rates, making sure to stay away from the rising rivers
-figuring out what, how, where to rent a vehicle big enough for crew and gear
-figuring out how to rent grip equipment in another state on short notice
-calling our trusty crew members to see if they're available

(did I mention...this is supposed to happen next week?)

-compiled a list of items we could bring, how much they'd weigh, and budgeted for "extra luggage"
-came up with a nice round number that I'm sure will be rejected and then went home for the night cause they aren't getting back to us until tomorrow. Did I mention they want this all to happen next week, like on Tuesday?
No, I'm not freaking out, why do you ask?

The Pushplay Productions blog Push This is alive and well. We've posted a few "practice" blogs here and there, and the first up-to-date-official-blog was posted last night.
Check them out, comment, post your wishes, thoughts, links, and hates...we want to hear it all!

Cheers to the start of a beautiful new blog-ship.

take a breath, the storm is passing

hello faithful blog checker-reader people.

Alas...the blog from New York has been interrupted by my arrival home and into the world of full fledged Producer.

I would have said previously that I was a Producer, but more specifically a Line Producer. The distinction is in the "Line". This is a Producer that is working on one project at a time. I wouldn't say this was a, by my choice, roll. I love producing...no, what lead me to this roll was, let's just call it, um...no wait, let's say that previously...there was only one project at a time.

As you may be able to deduce. This is not the case anymore. We have been flooded with exactly what we've begged for, wished for, and worked so hard for...clients exploding their wishes all over the place and landing at our front door.

*Pushplay's Blog is going Live this week.
stay tuned for my split personality is arriving with it.

In personal news. We're finally planning a house warming party...if you know me and you live around here you're invited, consider this your personal invitation. It'll be on July 19th. Come around 5 and stay all night. Bring drinks and a food something to share with fellow well-wishers.
Families are welcome but under-age drinking is not...so do it in secret and don't get drunk so when the cops show up they won't know.

Oh, and get ready for a photo blog of epic per portions.
meg out.
